If you are able to audition well with the higher level of materials, you may do so. Grades 7 and 8 must audition with the appropriate instrument using 9th - 10th All State materials listed.

Being a part of the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony strengthened my love for music and taught me many technical skills that I would not have been able to learn elsewhere. I learned how to cooperate with other musicians, and dedicate dozens of hours toward reaching a single goal. I absolutely loved my time in TCYS and encourage anyone interested to audition!

The requirements are not meant to discourage auditions but to provide a basis of comparison for a variety of levels of play, which do not always run concurrently with age or grade level in school.
If you are invited to become a member of the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony after audition, your audition performance may be used for orchestra seating purposes.
Auditions are open to all advanced players including middle school, high school, and college grade levels.
